Deck-it starter trim 2400mm
Fixing your Deck-it decking starts with a starter strip, which is screwed to the substrate, the first board is then screwed into place with the fixings provided, a joiner is then added to continue the run. When you get to the end of the run simply cut the board to length and use the off cut to start the next row. Because Deck-it is tongue and groove construction it fully supports the joint eliminating the need to join over a joist. We just recommend that each piece of board has at least 2 joists supporting it.
The Starter strip is the way to start all Deck-it installations and is also the ideal answer for the front of a stair tread. The Starter Strip has a longitudinally applied set or ribs which make it exceptionally non-slip. Don't forget to have a look at Deck-it U Channel for capping all other board edges to finish your deck perfectly.
